Search for services and activities in your area
Click on the icon to the right and then click on the link Find services and activities in your area. Using drop down menus you can search by the type of services offered (such as community transport or self help group) the clients they are aiming to help (such as older people or homeless people) or by the geographical areas covered.
Using the Quick Search Option
You can now use the quick search box to do a keyword search, for example “self help” or “alcohol”.
We have listed organisations using their full, legal name. If you don’t know the full name, please type just one or two keywords from the name into the Quick Search option, or try using the Advanced Search option.
For example, to find “CHARMS”, full legal name “Charity Action for Multiple Sclerosis”, try searching for “Multiple Sclerosis”. To find “TREE”, full legal name “Tendring Reuse and Employment Enterprise”, try searching for “Tendring Reuse”. To find scout groups, type “Scout” not “Scouts”. “scou” works too!
If the group’s name includes punctuation, it must be typed in exactly. For example, “Home-Start” and “Pre-School” must be typed in with the hyphen, and “S.A.F.E.” (Supporting Asperger Families in Essex) needs the full stops.
If you can’t find the group you are looking for, please do contact your nearest CVS for help.
